Welcome to MetroLalsa Event:

New and original founding members came together to discuss MetroLALSA’s begins and its journey to now.

Cafecito Network Event:

MetroLALSA and the Cafecito Network hosted a speed mentoring/networking event at Brooklyn Law. Pre-law students, law students, and attorneys met and discussed their goals, paths to success, and navigating the legal space as Latinas.

LatinoJustice Law Day Event:

MetroLALSA members attended LatinoJustice’s Law Day and were able to speak with many pre-law students and ensure them they have familia in MetroLALSA and a communidad for them as they enter into the legal space.

National Latina/o Law Students Association, North Atlantic Region Encuentro “Building a Council of Mentors”

The National Latina/o Law Students Association in collaboration with MetroLALSA hosted and moderated a North Atlantic Regional Encuentro panel regarding "Building a Council of Mentors”. This panel was comprised of attorneys and their mentors and discussed the ways in which one can network to find mentors and how to maintain those relationships for future success and support.

Latino Justice “Ask A Student Webinar: Part-Time and Dual Degree Programs”

Latino Justice hosted and moderated a panel discussion in collaboration with MetroLALSA to provide pre-law students with the necessary information regarding attending law school part-time and the process and workload of a dual degree program. Pre-Law students were able to ask specific questions, learn about the financial, academic, and networking possibilities and responsibilities associated with both part-time schooling and dual degree programs.

General Body Meeting

MetroLALSA members and Executive board members attended the first in-person General Body Meeting for 2024 at Touro Law on January 23rd, 2024.

MetroLALSA Day of Service with Part of the Solution (POTS)

MetroLALSA alumni and members attended a community service day event at POTS in the Bronx. Members spent the day preparing food, assisting with cleaning, organization, and preparation tasks. At the ended their service they had an opportunity to speak with an attorney who detailed the legal work offered at POTS and the opportunities available for Law Students .

MetroLALSA Happy Hour Networking Event

MetroLALSA hosted a Happy Hour event at Yuca. Many past and present members attended to reminisce on the support MetroLALSA has given throughout their careers and academic endeavors while also discussing future opportunities for success.
